Ahhhhhh the new trailer for the next Doctor Who special is out! I am fully admitting I am a huge Doctor Who geek. It's just the most fun TV show ever. I am SO sad about David Tennant stepping down from his role as The Doctor, but I think Matth Smith - who will take over as Doctor #11, is going to do a fabulous job. The end of this trailer is so scary though, ugh I am not looking forward to DT's death on screen, but AM looking forward to his last three DW specials that will be airing from Nov - New Year's Day. Doctor Who nerds unite, thnx.

Husky Pride

I am convinced I go to the best university in the country. Also, the one w/ the most beautiful campus. It is like a park and quad in the middle of a big city. Beautiful. I will love walking the trails lined w/ trees to my classes everyday come September.

books galore

I have found perfection in the form of a bookstore. They don't stack everything in bookshelves, oh no. They just pile them in high towers and let people fend for themselves and dig among the buried treasure. I love discovering book treasure.


Derby Square Bookstore in Salem. Best part? Everything is 50% off AND when you buy four books, you get one free. Of course, I left with my five books - but of course, I shall be back. I wanted so much more.

So, I'm watching some Veronica Mars right now since Miss Kristen Bell herself (@IMKristenBell) started talking about the possiblity of a VMars movie on twitter last night. She said the WB doesn't think there would be any enthusiasm for a movie. Nonsense, I say! The fans want a movie!! If you have twitter, you should tweet #veronicamars in a post, spread the word. =D

In other news, "The Fighter" with Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams and Christian Bale is filming in Lowell, Mass. as of next Monday. Guess who gets to be an extra for the day on Tuesday? Little old me! I'm really excited, they are filming a big fight scene at the arena here. I am not allowed to bring a camera or cell phone to set, but perhaps I can write up a report when I get back.

Also, tomorrow I shall be at Gillette Stadium all day. The New England Revolution play Kansas City at 4 and then the Gold Cup commences! I'll be seeing the US Men's National soccer team vs. Haiti at 7pm. I'm really excited about it, it is rare you get a chance to see international matches in New England. Let's hope the US wins!

Instant happiness.

Any time I am upset or in a melancholy mood - I can put this movie on and instantly I feel better. How can you not? It is the most wonderful, whimsical story. All happiness and smiles.

The closest character I've seen in films/books/tv/etc. that mirrors myself would be Amelie. It is uncanny how alike we are. "Times are hard for dreamers." Amen, sistah - I hear ya.
